S1 Tiny Tots:
S1 Tiny Tots is for children ages 2 to 4 years old. Instructors Anissa Upton and Kylee Zimmerman teach your tiny tots to wiggle and shake their way to a good time. This beginning dance class will focuses on the children having a good time while learning to follow instruction and work with others.
S1 Tots is for children 5 to 7 years old. Instructors Anissa Upton and Kylee Zimmerman introduce the basic footwork and rhythm of partner dances. As with Tiny Tots, we focus of having fun while following directions.
Level 1- Level 1, American Smooth and Rhythm: Geared for new and experienced dancers, with a basic knowledge of ballroom and eager to learn the basics of social dancing with more technique. This calls covers more formal ballroom. Smooth dances covered: Fox Trot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango. Rhythm dances covered: East Coast Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Bolero.
Level 2- Geared to dancers with a foundational knowledge of ballroom. Takes the knowledge learned in Level 1 and add to it. Introduces Bronze level movements. Dances covered: Chachacha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive,Quickstep, Fox Trot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango.
Level 3- Geared for dancers with a strong knowledge of American Smooth and Rhythm dances. It is required the the students have taken the Level 2 class in the style of dance being covered in Level 3 and it is highly recommended that six months of Level 2 be taken before moving to Level 3.
West Coast Swing Level 1: Geared for dancers new to West Coast, offering the foundation and basic technique. This class offers the basic steps of West Coast including the left side pass, right side pass, sugar push, and whip.
West Coast Swing Level 2: Geared for dancers with a solid foundation in West Coast Swing. Offers variations on the basics and further technique in partnering.
West Coast Swing Level 3: Geared for dancers with a solid foundation in West Coast Swing. Offers advanced technique in footwork, timing, partnering, and patterning.
West Coast Techique- “The study of West Coast Swing.” This class goes beyond the basic, incorporating dance fundamentals, musicality, phrasing, choreography, team work, partnering and and more. This class is geared for students with a desire to take their dancing to the next level, in either social dancing, competition, performance, or teaching.
Argentine Tango is inspired by styles of dance from different eras and regions. When dancing with your partner, the distance remains up to the leader and follower; open embrace or closed embrace is your personal preference.
Blues dance is the simplicity of feeling and creating the physical communication and connection between your partner, yourself and the music. Blues dance emphasizes on the music leading the dance rather than your partner.
