The History of Studio One

Established June 2006, As a sole proprietorship Studio One was originally opened at its Mangrove location and run for three years before relocating and joining Chico’s largest dance center. After two great years at Chico Creek Dance Centre, Studio One Ballroom moved to our new location in downtown Chico across from Shubert’s Ice Cream. After the 2018 CampFire, Studio One closed its public space and continued to host monthly dances and offer private lessons. During the pandemic, Studio One offered private lessons. We are proud to offer group classes, private lessons, and social dances in the areas of Swing, Latin, and Ballroom.

Teaching and hosting social dances dating back to 2002, Studio One has been a Chico dance scene foundation. With over 22 years of business experience in Chico, amazing instructors, and more awards and trophies than we know what to do with, we are confident you will have all of your dance needs met here at Studio One.
