Ladies and Gentleman, Thank you for many good years of Dance. We are taking a brake from having a physical studio. We plan to host seasonal events and private dance lessons for the next few years. We hope to return someday soon with even bigger plans

For centuries, dance manuals and other writings have lauded the health benefits of dancing, usually as physical exercise. More recently we've seen research on further health benefits of dancing, such as stress reduction and increased serotonin level, with its sense of well-being.
Most recently we've heard of another benefit: Frequent dancing apparently makes us smarter.

History
Established June 2006, As a sole proprietorship Studio One was originally opened at its Mangrove location and run for three years before relocating and joining Chico’s largest dance center. After two great years at Chico Creek Dance Centre, Studio One Ballroom moved to our new location in downtown Chico across from Shubert’s Ice Cream. We are proud to offer group classes, private lessons, and social dances in the areas of Swing, Latin, and Ballroom.
Studio One Ballroom is still Chico’s Swing, Salsa & Ballroom studio and social venue. With over 15 years of business experience in Chico, amazing instructors, more awards and trophies then we know what to do with, we are confident you will have all of your dance needs met here at Studio One.
Currently West Coast Swing is the most popular dance that is offered at Studio One. We have many students who are working on advancing their dancing and skills through various classes, practice hours, and social dances. West Coast Swing has a competitive circuit that many of our dancers have successfully entered. They enter at a novice level and through earning points at various competitions work their way up the ranks. We are proud to have upwards of 30 dancers in Chico that compete at nationwide conventions.
